Pietenpol Air Camper - "Dame Flora"

 

                    

                                                   

"Dame Flora"- registration G-LEOD, is a Pietenpol Air Camper’

 and was hand built by my late father and Clan MacLeod Society of England member Ian McLeod.

 Completed in 2008, she has flown approximately 102 hours over the fields of Kent, and is easy to spot in her yellow MacLeod tartan colour scheme.

 

The Air Camper is a 1920’s design monoplane, popular amongst amateur builders.

My father’s project brought together his twin passions for flying and craftsmanship.

 

Pietenpol G-LEOD  102 hours total.

 Aviation Metalcraft fuselage.

Subaru 1800cc engine, Amax reduction gear,

 Hercules propeller, Swiss-type silencer,

80 litre fuel tank.

 Poly-Fiber covering.

 Sold with fresh permit, wing covers and Yaesu FTA-750 Spirit transceiver.

 

Based at Farthing Corner, Kent.

Hangarage available if required.
